Come To The City

the war on drugs

While watching this piece that Pitchfork did on The War On Drugs, I had fond memories of seeing the band last friday night at the Horseshoe Tavern.  I’ve gotta say, its worth going to see this band live, they deliver a loud, wall of sound filled rock show.   Plus, you’ll probably hear their cover of the Deads’ “Touch Of Grey” in there.  Dates into next year are with Sharon Van Etten and White Rabbits.

Watch the video to see a live performance of “Come To The City” (my favourite off this years’ album Slave Ambient), an interview with the band and intro from front man Adam Granduciel.
