Who: Pomegranates from Cincinnati.
What: I’ve gotta say, I’m not quite back from the weekend. On Sunday, I made it up north for a night and spent the holiday in the sun (with sunburn). Many thanks for great weather and new music coming out of the laptop. And kudos to Pasta Primavera for the tip on Cincinnati’s Pomegranates, who’s quirky pop songs are ringing in my head. The one below (Corriander) comes from the bands album Everybody, Come Outside!, which channels influences that range from Talking Heads and Brian Eno, to French Kicks and Fela Kuti. Good love on college radio and the blogs for this sound, how come I haven’t heard it until now? Guess I have some catching up to do.
