MP3 Pioneer Offers Canadians DRM-Free Tracks, Great Value,
3.5 Million+ Tracks of Independent Music and Thousands of Audio Books

The World’s largest retailer of independent music launched yesterday in Canada with ready-to-download content from 33,000 of the world’s top independent labels and major audio books publishers. The site works using a subscription-based system, allowing consumers to own their music at low download prices. The site uses market-leading discovery features that analyze download histories to suggest playlists and personalized recommendations on new arrivals. Community features such as ‘Neighbors’ and ‘Fans’ allow members to share their discoveries, and as well, the site posts editorials from music experts.

Interesting….. I gave it a try today. I’d say, a pleasant experience. I found the titles I was looking for and played around with some of the features the site offered. It used to be a no-brainer when it came time to buy songs online (iTunes). But now there’s another option, a site that can offers songs as low as 37 cents a download.

I’ve got two 3-month Canadian trial memberships up for grabs. Both entitle the winner to 40 downloads a month, for three months. Thats 120 songs. To enter this contest, comment on this post with your name and e-mail. The two winners will be picked out of a hat. Contest closes on Friday, May 2nd at 2pm EST. **Sorry, Canadian residents only.
