Hailing from Brixton, England is 6-piece folksters Melodica, Melody and Me, who are announcing the release of their debut single ‘Piece Me Back Together’ through Everybodys Stalking on Monday, July 12th. The new single will be available on limited edition seven-inch vinyl and download.
I heard the song today while watching their retro themed video for the song. The combo of the boy to girl vocals, set to minimal drums, uke and acoustic guitar, totally makes me think of all those tv commercials going for that cute vibe. For the supervisors who read this blog, take note of this song, you might find a place for it.
The band have been turning heads across the UK after their first proper gig supporting Whitest Boy Alive and touring with the likes ofLaura Marling, Johnny Flynn and Mumford and Sons, all while finishing studies in schools inLondon, Manchester, Brighton and Leeds. A great run of festival gigs coming up, along with a spot on Bombay Bicycle Club’s acoustic tour.
