Those looking to get Rich Aucoin‘s upcoming Public Publication album will probably have to wait until next year. But fear not, by August 17th (thanks to Sonic Records) you can grab a four-song EP by the same name. A sneak peak if you will.
The record is a musicalmosaic. Its anthemic electro -pop features more than 500 musicians recorded locally from Victoria, BC to St. Johns, NL (and as far north as Dawson City, YK). Recordings were made in professional studios, bedrooms and churches the performers ranging from members of some of Canadas biggest bands to fans with little to no musical training. It took over two years of traveling to schedule and record all these individuals.
And if you’ve read this site before, you’ll know what I’m going to say next. His live show is the most fun you can have at a concert. Heavy doses of audience participation, props and visuals.
