It’s been a while since I’ve done a #trending post. Finding songs for this column all really depends on what I find when I go looking for new music, and there’s just some Fridays where I’m not feeling anything I find. Today was the exception; there was just no way I couldn’t not post these beauties below.  Take a listen to new music from Savoir Adore, Holy Fuck and Coast Modern.

When Savoir Adore released “Lovers Wake” last month, from their upcoming third album The Love That Remains, I wasn’t totally moved by the track.  Hearing their biggest tune yet “Giants” today only once, has made me want to go back and figure out what the hell I was thinking.

“Tom Tom” is our first listen and lead single from Toronto quartet Holy Fuck‘s new record Congrats.  Brian Borcherdt says of their new music “When you’re sitting still in a van and staring out the windows, you start to dream about all the other things you want to do.  This album is exactly what we couldn’t do then.”

In perusing the Hype Machine this afternoon, I didn’t actually know of LA band Coast Modern before clicking on their moderately blogged track “Animals”.  Good stuff, I’ll have to keep an eye on this group.
