From the London based band The Leaf Library, heres an ISAN remix of the track Losing Places.
Hamburg composer Nils Frahm remixes Peter Brodericks song And Its Alright for the Erased Tapes Collection II compilation on the label of the same name. Look for Nils to release his debut EP and LP in North America via Erased Tapes (home to Peter Broderick, Ҭafur Arnalds).
‘Bear’ by The Antlers
New signees to the Jagjaguwar family is Small Black, who’s song Despicable Dogs caught their ears last summer and never quite left. Plans are to release a remixed, remastered and expanded version of the bands’ self-titled EP on in April, featuring the original five songs as well as two new ones: “Kings of Animals” and “Baby Bird Pt. 2”. Look for them on tour with Washed Out and Pictureplane; the former’s already put his spin on the song above (via Coke Machine Glow).

Yours Truly Presents: The Morning Benders “Excuses” from Yours Truly on Vimeo.
Formerly from the west coast, here’s the newly based Brooklyn band The Morning Benders with a tribute to the music contributions of Phil Spector. The song, ‘Excuses’, is the starter off the new album Big Echo and surprisingly, this video of the band performing it is two months old. Wonder why I haven’t run across it until now? Enjoy the strings, the choir, the cameos and Chris Chu’s homage to a earlier sound and style.
