Catch Up Post: The Dodos, Sun Airway, Seedy Seeds, Art vs Science

–The Dodos have recently given us a taste of their upcoming record No Color, a track called “Black Night” (below). Look for the album in March.
–Sun Airway are heading out on the road with Cults, Asobi Seksu and Small Black. Music blogYvynyl recently interviewed Jon Barthmus of the band and Ricardo Rivera of Klip Collective (who create the band’s crazy live visuals).

-Toronto’s Neon Windbraker are set to release their first EP tonight at Rainbow Palace (213 Augusta Avenue)in Toronto, via the most interesting music delivery method I’ve heard of in quite a while. The band will give away 10 homemade meat sandwiches, 10 homemade vegetarian sandwiches and 30-40 pieces of fruit that come with a download link to their first EP. Here’s the event details.
–The Seedy Seeds have a new record called Verb Noun,available on the road at up coming tour dates and via select record stores and online outlets within the coming months. The Cincinnati trio are continuing crafting their own brand of folktronica, ‘blending elements of electronica with the typically analog sounds of banjo, strings, and vocal harmonies’. –Daily Beatz tipped us to the Teen Daze track “Something”, killer.
–The Verge Awards have made this nominees for this years’ prize, Tegan & Sara, Stars and Arcade Fire lead the way with a few nominations (via Exclaim!).
-Finally, Toronto band Dinosaur Bones have announced the release of their first full length album, My Divider, out March 8th via Dine Alone Records. Massive North American tour on the go today, dates below. Here’s a track from the record, Royalty.
