It’s been a strong week for music videos, especially considering this one for Hayden Calnin‘s “Cut Love“. Shot in Melbourne and Victoria’s Otway National Park, the video features lush greenery of an old forrest in slow, backwards sweeping shots set to Calnin’s haunting vocal. The video was directed by Calnin and Lukas McFarlane, who also stars in the video with Calnin’s sister Daisy.
It’s really one of those videos you can just completely immerse yourself in and get lost. Maybe I’m developing a thing for interpretive dance, as its the 2nd video this week I’ve posted from an Australian, that feature a couple of modern dancers, see Jarryd James’s “Do You Remember”. Either way, an incredible visual compliment to a beautiful song.
The song comes from the album Cut Love Pt. 1.
